Can I change my ticket after booking?

Yes. You can upgrade a NYE Party ticket to a Three Party Pass or a camping ticket to an earlier arrival date using the transfer option in your Eventbrite account. December 31st

7am - 6pm

Campsite access before 2pm on December 27th is only available to volunteers with a shift that day.

Once checked in, campers are free to come and go from the campsite as they wish. You are free to depart at any time before the campsite closes.

How are campsites allocated?

Unlike most other festivals, the Tropical Fruits campsite operates as a free layout on a first-in basis upon arrival. There are 3 camping zones - tent only, van only and mixed. You are free to set up camp where you wish in the appropriate area (with the exception of marked clearways or no camping areas). All cars are parked in a separate parking area.

Our check in volunteers can help show you where when you arrive.

Are powered sites available?

Power outlets are available throughout the campsite, particularly in the van and mixed camping areas. Outlets are available on a fist-in basis and can not be pre-booked, so we advise bringing a long extension lead in case the nearest available outlet is a distance away. Power is $10/night payable at Camp Hub.

I’m arriving New Years Eve - will there still be room for me?

Yes. Our campsite is spacious enough to fit all of our campers who have pre-booked. If arriving late on NYE however, your options may become limited, particularly if you require a large space or power.

Can I bring a caravan/campervan/camper trailer?

Yes. However water/sewage access points or chemical toilet disposal facilities are not available - please use the bathroom facilities provided. If you wish to come and go from the campsite in your campervan, for safety reasons you must camp in the van only zone.

Can I sleep in my car?

No. Only campervans are permitted to remain within the camping zone.

Can I park next to my tent?

Tents and cars are a dangerous mix! All cars must be parked in the camping car park just a short walk away near Camp Check In. 5 minute drop offs are allowed within the campsite but strictly no parking (campervans and accessible parking permits excepted).

Can I reserve a campsite for my friends arriving later?

No. Campsites can not be held or reserved.

Is there a ‘Glamping’ option?

Tropical Fruits do not offer any pre-booked tents or ‘glamping’. If you choose to arrange a tent/van via a 3rd party provider, please note: no tents in the central ring area and all locations subject to approval by Tropical Fruits on the day.

Access for setup is possible from 2pm December 27th, with a valid camping ticket required from the day of setup.

Can I bring a pool?

Portable and inflatable pools can be a great way to cool down in the Lismore heat, however they pose a safety risk to you and your fellow campers, are an extra use of water and create more waste if thrown out when you depart. We encourage campers to reconsider the need to bring a pool. If you do, please be aware:

  • 1 small pool per campsite permitted (max 70cm high and 250cm sq)
  • $50 levy charged per pool (proceeds to Tropical Fruits Landcare initiatives)
  • You are responsible for the safety of users at all times and removal of the pool

Is the campsite BYO?

Yes. Campers are free to bring a reasonable amount of alcohol into the campsite. However please no glass bottles - bring cans instead. Ice is available from Camp Hub for $5/bag.

Will there be food available on site?

A range of local vendors will be on site to keep you fed and caffeinated.

What facilities are available in the campsite?

Toilets, plenty of hot showers, outdoor cold showers for those with an exhibitionist streak, a communal kitchen with basic cooking facilities,

What is there to do in the campsite before the main parties?

Campers are free to head out and explore our wonderful ‘Rainbow Region’ with day trips possible to Nimbin, waterfalls, swimming holes, the famous Kings Beach and more.

On site there will be a range of FREE daily Fruity workshops, talks and events to entertain and educate you - check out Camp Hub for the latest schedules.

The ever popular and exclusive Camp Party takes place 30 December and is the perfect warm up for the New Year festivities ahead!

Can my friends visit the campsite?

Day passes are available for your non camping friends to visit and join in the Fruity fun of the campsite. Available from Camp Check In for $5 on 28/29 December and provide access until sundown. Strictly camper only access to the campsite 30 December.

What if I arrive after check in has closed?

If you arrive late please follow the directions of security staff on the gate. Check In restrictions may apply for late arrivals.

How far is it to the Lismore CBD?

The campsite is a 5 min drive or 20 min walk from the Lismore CBD. A taxi drop off/pick up zone is located at the front gate on Alexandra Parade.

Shuttle buses will operate January 1st between the Showgrounds and Memorial Baths.

What items are not allowed in camping?

Open fires (inc fireworks, flares etc), glass bottles (750ml bottles exempt), large pools (over 70cm high and 250cm square), illicit drugs and any other items considered illegal or dangerous.

Can I bring my furry friend?

While man-bears are more than welcome, unfortunately no animals are permitted on site with the exception of registered assistance animals. If you need a kennel or pet friendly accommodation check out this list of local businesses.

What is Campest Camp?

Each year our campers compete to create the most wonderous camping setup with lights, decorations and plenty of Fruity creativity. A special prize is awarded to the Campest Camp, judged during the Camp Party. Bonus points are awarded for matching the festival theme and being eco conscious - think solar lights and recycled materials.
